Well.....I failed to keep up with my new blog for Fashion Week... It was a crazy busy time and with the long days and hours I was unable to post anything! Next season I promise I will have someone post for me so I can keep you all up to date!! I will include some blog hits in the next week that relate to me and Dashing Diva during Fashion Week. My amazing team did over 30 shows! WOW! That is a record for us!!!
Also on Friday I received an e-mail about being quoted in the New York Times blog page commenting on Shellac. Check out the link here: http://tmagazine.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/10/22/vain-glorious-shellac-is-still-going-strong/
Tip of the day: Brrrrr.....the weather is getting colder by the day and you will notice your cuticles are getting dryer than usual. Make sure you oil and lotion your hands before you go out in the morning and always wear gloves to protect your hands from the elements. Remember that hands show a person's age first! Oil and lotion them up good and place the gloves over them right away to help the moisture penetrate in to your hands. A great rich cream to use in the winter months is Glysolid. It is a pure glycerin based thick balm that works great to heal chapped and cracked hands in the winter months.
Well, that's all for today! Until next time....
In the meantime, Friday I received a call to take care of Kim and Kourtney Kardashian's nails for their upcoming show's photo shoot, early on Saturday morning. I had client's in my shop the night before until about 1 am. Ran home and packed my kit with everything for doing manicures and pedicures and tons of nail color choices. The production director let me know they would most likely get black, but to bring other dark shades as well. Kourtney ended up with Dashing Diva's black, Limo Service and Kim wore a China Glaze shade by the name of Vintage. (One of my all time favorites! Have to check if they still make that color or not!) They were both super sweet and very thankful to me for coming in to the city so early! (Had a 7:30 am call time and had to catch a 6 am train!) I brought them both little goodie bags with some of the new Dashing Diva fall polish colors and a few other of my favorite things. They must have thanked me 10 times for everything! So down to earth and just truly nice, sweet and kind girls! It was so refreshing to see.
